Hardware Services
AVE Investments, Inc. has
spent the last 20 years developing its unique methodology
of hardware services. Based on nearly 60 installations
of store systems in retail chains of various sizes and a
passion for high quality, low cost and improved customer
service, AVE’s “White Glove” rollout methodology has evolved.
You can benefit from experience by utilizing one company
that will personally take ownership of your entire store
systems IT project from staging, integration, testing and
burn-in, installation and maintenance after the project is
complete.
Unlike most services companies that charge by the hour and
hire sub contractors to perform the services, AVE Investments
offers a menu of services based on units of work such as per
store, per system or per device. The retailer chooses which
services are right for them from the menu then multiplies their
choices by the number of units relevant to their exact store/register
count. All services are priced using this flat-rate system. Retailers
know up front what their roll-out is going to cost; unexpected
expenses are all but eliminated.
In addition to “a la carte” services, the use of Motor Coaches
to perform AVE’s White Glove” installations greatly improves
the quality of the installation and lowers the retailer’s overall
costs. Instead of 100 different installation technicians installing
1 store each, an AVE Investment employee drives the Motor Coach
to 100 different stores and 1 technician installs all 100 stores.
The Motor Coach eliminates freight charges by carrying the
retailer’s store systems’ hardware on board insuring safe and
on-time delivery of the equipment every time. The coach also
eliminates transportation and housing expenses for the technician
as it provides him with living quarters, transportation and
an inventory of spare parts and cables at the same time. Since
all systems are assembled and tested prior to being loaded
onto the coach they arrive on site ready to be hand carried
into the store and installed; reducing the time required at
each site.

POS Hardware Integration
Ave Investments, Inc. is located in Missouri
in the center of the United States. This central location
means quick response times and minimal time zone issues. Our
techs can be on site, if needed, virtually anywhere in the
US within two days.
At our facility in Lake Ozark AVE receives
and stores the retailers’ systems, noting and reporting serial
numbers as they arrive. AVE will work closely with your
MIS department to craft scripts for use during the integration
process and for later when the hardware is deployed across
the entire chain. It will un-box and configure each system,
duplicate the contents of the store’s gold disk to insure that
each store is operating on the “same page” , then test and
burn-in the systems to minimize initial failures upon installation.
Peripherals are programmed to the store’s
precise requirements. Finally AVE runs thorough testing
and QA in a simulated store environment.

Hardware Installation
The store-ready systems are loaded onto
a fully self-sufficient coach that serves as transportation,
hotel, parts depot and office for the certified technician
that will personally install the systems at the stores. The
use of these coaches minimizes costs while, at the same time,
improves the quality of the installations and communication
between installers and the home office. AVE Investments
has used this coach methodology successfully for over 20 years
in almost 60 national chains throughout the US.

The installer
arrives on schedule and site preparation is completed. Cables
are run and the installation script is run. The site
is cleaned up and management signs off. Training can
be part of the installation process.
